The 7th anniversary of the so-called liberation of Afghanistan, StWC are asking every group to hold vigils, die-ins, naming of the dead events, meetings and rallies. Naming of the dead ceremonies are already planned in: Bristol, Leicester, Hackney, Wandsworth, Camden, Manchester, Cambridge and many other places.
In Hackney the ceremony will be broadcast on the video screen outside the town hall. It's not too late to organise a protest in your local area.

Anti-war groups from across the world will meet to oppose any further expansion of NATO and demand an end to the occupation of Afghanistan in Strasbourg next year. The organisers have just announced that Noam Chomsky will be speaking at the counter summit in Strasbourg. We want as many organisations as possible to back the protests before the international launch of the mobilisation, so please circulate the resolution on the internet and get trade unions, campaigning groups etc to back it.
